Following the devastating floods in Cumbria, Assistant Cub Scout Leader Nick has completed a 15 mile fundraising walk in aid of those who suffered in the floods. His route took him out from the south side of the badly damaged Workington Bridge and out of Workington on the old A66 through Stainburn, Great Clifton, Bridgefoot and Brigham to Papcastle at Cockermouth. Nick returned via Great Broughton, Camerton and Seaton to the north side of Workington Bridge, 100yards from his start point!
Nick has raised £1900. To support those suffering after the floods donate at branches of the Cumberland Building Society, Furness Building Society, HSBC (branches nationwide, see Cumbria Community Foundation website for account details) or online at Cumbria Community Foundation.
